To choose the best fuel card, we recommend comparing different fuel cards carefully. Therefore, we would like to take you through the differences and features between our MAES fuel card and the Total fuel card(s).
You can use your Total fuel card at 18,000+ service stations in 20 European countries and more than 524 service stations in Belgium.
As with MAES, these cards are available to only professionals with a valid VAT number. For the individual, both Total and MAES provide a handy app! On top of that, MAES also provides the Smart Reporting module, where you use your bank or credit card to pay but receive monthly invoices. Also, both MAES and Total offer a prepaid card, which can be used as a gift card. Finally, you can also apply for a Clubcard from Total as an individual, to save points for discounts and the like.
You receive invoices of your consumption with your Total fleet card via TotalEnergies Cards Online, which are kept for 18 months. Total also has a charging fleet pass for electric cars. This electric gas card is free, but there is a transaction charge.
A Total gas card costs 2 euros per month. The MAES fuel card, on the other hand, costs nothing at all! Only for the hybrid card you pay a small cost of 1 euro per month.

Refuelling free of charge! For the Fuel Card (refuelling) both the application, card and billing are free. Only for the Hybrid Card (refuelling and charging) there is a monthly cost of only €1/month and a small transaction cost of 0.5 euro.

Yes it is! Both the application, invoicing (twice a month) and use of the online module are completely free! There are no hidden costs, no small print and no minimum purchase. Note! The MAES Hybrid Card does have a small cost of just 1 euro per month and a low transaction cost of 0.50 euro.

You can easily block a fuel card yourself via our portal or simply via e-mail.
