Yes it is! Both the application, invoicing (twice a month) and use of the online module are completely free! There are no hidden costs, no small print and no minimum purchase. Note! The MAES Hybrid Card does have a small cost of just 1 euro per month and a low transaction cost of 0.50 euro.
Similarities and differences between the EG fuel card and that of MAES
Do you also get caught up in the whole network of fuel cards? No worries, we understand that! That’s why we like to compare the different fuel cards and the fuel cards from MAES. Below you can read all about how we handled comparing the EG fuel card vs. the MAES fuel network card! So you can always make the right choice!
When you apply for an EG fuel card, you will receive a GO fuel card. This is valid at 1,420 stations in Belgium and 5,470 in Europe (partnerships including Octa+ & MAES). You can, however, filter further based on how big your fleet is.
As with MAES, you will receive one periodic collective invoice for all your purchases of fuel and optionally car-related products and services such as carwash, oil and windscreen washer fluid. You manage invoices and real-time information on passes, transactions and more via a web portal (similar to your MAES account).
As with MAES, the EG fuel card is there only for professionals with a valid VAT number. For individuals, Texaco also has an app, but this, however, is only a station finder, while in MAES’ app you also pay and unlock the pump easily. Furthermore, EG does not have its own charging card, while MAES obviously offers the hybrid card.
