Ultra-fast charging stations
With the MAES Hybrid Card, you can of course also recharge at the ultra-fast charging stations on our own network. Via these poles, within 10 to 20 minutes (depending on your car) you are good for hundreds of kilometres to continue your journey again. We are setting up the poles together with our partner Sparki. The first poles were put in place at our ESSO Wilrijk station at the end of 2022, meanwhile poles have been added at 33 of our location. In the coming months, we will have a total of 100 charging poles added at many more locations.
Our charging posts come with two plugs, a standard CCS cable that can give up to 320 kW and a liquid-cooled cable that can handle up to 1,000 kW. Sparki’s current poles give a maximum of 350 kW because there are still hardly any cars that can handle more than 350 kW. This allows you to charge your electric car’s battery to 80% in a minimum amount of time. Our charging stations are up to at least 6 times faster than the first generation fast chargers (50kWh), which can still be found in many places. Therefore, the power and speed of our charging stations cannot be compared to a classic charging station, which delivers only a fraction of the speed of our charging stations.
