Mobile refueling is currently only possible on our own network of about 300 stations. Soon you will also be able to do this on our entire fuel card network.
With the convenient and above all free MAES fuel card, you have an excellent natural gas network at your disposal. Take a look at our stationfinder.be and you will see that in the Benelux you can go to 76 locations to refill CNG and currently already 9 LNG locations . We are trying to expand both further at MAES!
What are the advantages of CNG?
The main advantage is that it is better for the environment. But good to know is that it is also cheaper than traditional fuels. CNG is 30-40 per cent cheaper than diesel or petrol and much more environmentally friendly than traditional fossil fuels.
CNG emits 90 per cent less NOx, 77 per cent less particulate matter and 7 to 16 per cent less CO2 than a diesel or petrol. All this and cheaper refuelling too?
That seems like an ideal deal, doesn’t it? The only problem is that CNG is less readily available abroad and a number of car manufacturers have indicated that they will stop offering CNG cars due to disappointing sales.
And what about LNG?
LNG emissions are much cleaner than diesel: there is 10-15% less CO2 emissions and 30% less health damage from particulates and NOx. In addition, it also reduces noise pollution and all this for a cheaper product!
Because they cool the natural gas product, it becomes liquid and this ensures that LNG takes up much less space than ordinary natural gas. This allows for more in the tank and immediately increases the range enormously. Ideal for trucks!
They are now investigating whether LNG is much cleaner overall than diesel. Especially the latest diesel engines with Euro 6 standard are already much cleaner than their predecessors, and on top of that, a lot of harmful substances are produced during the LNG production process.
In our blog post, we are happy to explain more about the similarities and differences between LNG and CNG.
Frequently asked questions
The app uses the original PIN code, which you received in the accompanying letter when you received the card. If you have already changed this code and you no longer have the original one, you can of course always request it via the MAES fuel card service. Please note that you do this via an e-mail address known to us.
No, if you would like the number plate and vehicle to be included on the invoice, you can set this up via MY MAES or contact the fuel card service.
On this page you can always find the locations of our petrol stations with a shop.
Yes, you can pay with any bank card in the MAES app, as long as you have your bank’s app or Payconiq on your mobile.
When you use a payment card to unlock the pump via the terminal of a petrol station, an amount is reserved on your account because the amount to be paid is not yet known. This amount can be compared to a deposit (also called pre-authorisation). This is so at every petrol station in Europe and in line with European legislation.
The amount can be a maximum of €375. As soon as you finish refuelling, the reserved amount will be released and your account will be debited with the exact amount of your refuelling. This normally takes a few minutes. If it takes longer, you can always contact your bank so they can release the amount. We do not reserve this amount and cannot release it.
If you already have a prepaid card that you would like to reload, you can contact us by email and you can transfer the agreed amount. You can also stop by one of our L’Unique Shops, the shop staff will be happy to help you.
You are used to see all the transactions of the month on one invoice. Unfortunately, the eletric charging transactions are processed with a one month delay. This has to with the current way of working by the charging station operators and is completely out of our hands. You should expect the transactions of the previous month on next months invoice.
