Driving in summer

Driving during the hot summer months requires quite a bit of preparation. Thanks to handy tips from MAES, you will always be safe on the road, no matter how hot it is! So read on and find out everything you need to know about summer driving!

Driving in scorching hot temperatures during the summer is no fun.

Here you can find some tips that will make driving during summer a little more pleasant:
  • For the first few minutes, drive with the windows open and the air conditioning off.
  • This already allows the greatest heat to escape.
  • Do not turn down the air conditioning below 24 degrees.
  • This will not only save your battery, but also prevent you from being ‘overwhelmed’ by the heat when you get out.
  • Activate indoor air circulation.
  • Always keep something to drink handy.
  • Never leave passengers (especially children) and/or pets in a stationary car, even for a short while. The temperature inside the car rises very quickly and dehydration starts after only 10 minutes or so.

Hopefully, thanks to our tips, your drive during the summer will be a bit more pleasant for you now!
