Beware of unreliable fuel oil offers online
There are currently several websites offering fuel oil at remarkably low prices. Please note: in some cases, these are fraudulent. These sites display a competitive price and ask you to pay online, but the fuel oil is often not delivered.
Gasoil
These misleading practices often involve the misuse of genuine fuel traders’ details, such as their address and VAT number, but no landline telephone number is provided. Sometimes only a foreign mobile phone number is given, often accessible via WhatsApp. The bank account number for payment rarely belongs to the official supplier whose name is being used.
As a fuel oil user, it is important to be critical: do not simply order from such sites, do not make any payments without being sure of their reliability. If in doubt, it is best to contact your fuel trader.
